Ukrainian agent admits to murdering Monaco suspect

A Ukrainian intelligence agent has confessed to killing the suspected Monaco bomber, prosecutors told the Kyiv Independent. He says he acted on his own initiative and without informing his superiors.

The woman, identified by Interpol as 39-year-old Anastasija Berezovska, was found dead with gunshot wounds after she returned to Ukraine.

The Monaco bombing targeted pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarch Vadym Yermolajev. The oligarch, his wife and their 13-year-old son were injured in the explosion.

The woman suspected of the Monaco bombing last week has been found dead outside Kyiv, Ukraine, the SBU security service has confirmed.

The woman was found on Monday and is believed to have been shot dead.

Two people have reportedly been arrested, police sources told the Ukrainian newspaper Pravda.

According to Interpol, the suspect was 39-year-old Anastasiya Berezovska from Ukraine. She was allegedly disguised as a man when she fled the scene of the crime, according to the Monaco police.

The target is believed to have been the pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarch Vadym Yermolayev. Three people were injured in the bombing, two of them slightly and one seriously
