The ECB chief: "It is not the time to declare victory" 

The ECB maintains that the goal is to push inflation down to 2 percent. This was highlighted by central bank chief Christine Lagarde in a speech before the European Parliament on Monday, writes Reuters. 

 - It is not time to declare victory, said the ECB head. 

Interest rates will be kept high enough for as long as necessary to ensure price stability, she stressed.

Tesla after the announcement from the court: "Is gratifying"  

"It is gratifying that with this decision Tesla can continue to deliver new cars to our customers." Tesla announces this in a comment after the district court's interim decision that the company can collect license plates for new cars directly from the manufacturer, writes DI. 

After Tesla's lawsuit against the Swedish Transport Agency earlier today, the Norrköping district court makes the decision without hearing the other party because the court believes there is a risk of delay. The court also believes that there is "considerable damage" to Tesla and its customers every day, theECB

Norwegian researcher: Sweden's covid strategy was better  

 

Norway's harsh lockdowns during the pandemic saved more than 2,000 lives – but it came at too high a price. That line is driven by Norwegian researchers in a new report from the Norwegian Public Health Institute and Statistics Sweden, writes SvD.  

 

The costs per life saved were 12 million euros, according to the report. Most of those rescued were frail elderly people over 80 who also had other health problems.  

 

Per Henrik Zahl, researcher at the Norwegian Public Health Institute (FHI), states that the cost of the lives saved during the pandemic was around 100 times higher than what the state is otherwise willing to pay for the treatment of fatal diseases in people of working age. 

 

- And medical ethics say that it is a greater sin to harm healthy people than not to help the sick, Zahl tells SvD.

Millions without electricity in Ukraine and Russia after snowstorm  

 

Close to two million people are without electricity after a snowstorm in Russia and occupied Ukrainian territories, according to the Russian Energy Ministry according to AFP. The Moscow Times describes the storm as "the storm of the century".  

 

"About 1.9 million people were still without power at 10 a.m. Moscow time due to adverse weather conditions," the ministry wrote in a statement.  

 

In occupied Crimea, around 500,000 people lack power, writes the independent news site Meduza.
