Cargo ship wrecked – 13 sailors missing

A cargo ship has capsized off the Greek island of Lesbos, the Greek Coast Guard warns.
About ten people are missing.

13 sailors are missing after a cargo ship sank off the Greek island of Lesbos on Sunday morning.
The newspaper Efsyn writes that the ship called "Mayday, Mayday" at 07:00.
Just over an hour later, the captain raised the alarm that the ship had started to capsize. Shortly thereafter, it disappeared from the radar.
A rescue operation is underway with coast guard ships and helicopters.

A total of 14 people are said to have been on the ship when it sank. One person from the crew has been rescued and taken to hospital, writes Efsyn.
The news agency AFP states that the vessel sails under the Comorian flag.
The 100-meter-long and 16-meter-wide ship is said to have been loaded with salt from Egypt, on its way to Istanbul.
