White House promises "robust" delegation without Biden
Despite the fact that President Joe Biden is not on the train, the White House assures that the United States will send a "robust" delegation to the climate summit in Dubai.
- We expect it to be productive, says press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
The delegation is led by US climate envoy John Kerry, who is expected to be joined by, among others, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The White House has not given any reasons why Biden is standing over this year's meeting, but the president has had a lot on his table lately, given the conflict-ridden world situation and the internal battles in Congress, writes Time Magazine.

Sources: The government is hammering out an agreement with the US this week
A new defense agreement which, among other things, means that the US gets access to Swedish defense bases is expected to be hammered out on Thursday, at a government meeting, Ekot learns.
The agreement would mean that US military personnel are subject to US law at Swedish bases. The government's purpose is to make it easier for American troops on Swedish soil in the event of war. Finland and the USA reportedly have a similar agreement in the works.
Next week, Defense Minister Pål Jonson (M) will travel to the United States, where the agreement is expected to be signed in Washington.

After accusations of anti-Semitism - Musk visited kibbutz: "Evil"
On Monday, Elon Musk met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and visited Kibbutz Kfar Azza, which was subjected to one of the terrorist group Hamas's brutal attacks on October 7.
In connection with the visit, the tech billionaire described the attacks as "pure evil" and at the same time rejected criticism that Israel's attacks on Gaza were disproportionate, writes the Washington Post.
- There is an important difference here, namely that Israel tries to avoid killing civilians, he said.
Musk also announced a new agreement that Starlink's satellites will only be used in Israel and Gaza with the approval of the Israeli government.
The visit comes amid a period of controversy for Musk. Among other things, he has been criticized by the White House for showing support for anti-Semitic conspiracies on X. The platform has also lost advertisers after Musk called an anti-Semitic post "the actual truth".
