100 reportedly killed in Gaza in 200 Israeli attacks
100 Palestinians have been killed during today's fighting in Gaza, according to the Hamas-controlled health authorities in Gaza, according to several international news agencies. According to the same authorities, "dozens" have also been injured in connection with airstrikes against civilians.
Israel, in turn, says it has attacked "over 200 terror targets" since the temporary ceasefire expired at 06:00 on Friday.
"During the past few hours, ground, air and naval forces have struck terrorist targets in the northern and southern Gaza Strip," the army writes in a statement.
Over 50 rockets were also reportedly fired from the Gaza Strip at targets in southern Israel, according to the Times of Israel.
The truce expired despite hopes to the last that the pause in fighting would be extended by an eighth day. During the day, the UN condemned the resumption of fighting.
A few minutes after 06:00, Israel announced that the fighting had resumed. Shortly before that, a robot fired from Gaza had been shot down, according to Israel. The military accuses Hamas of violating the ceasefire.

UN condemns renewed fighting - wounded pour into overburdened hospitals
That the fighting between Israel and Hamas has resumed after the temporary cease-fire expired is "catastrophic", says UN human rights chief Volker Turk according to AFP.
- I call on all parties, and states with influence over them, to immediately increase their efforts to secure a ceasefire - on humanitarian and human rights grounds.
The first hours of fighting have, according to Palestinian authorities, meant several new casualties in Gaza and an influx of injured to the already overcrowded hospitals, writes Reuters. Images from Gaza's second largest hospital, Nasser Hospital in the south, reportedly show a steady stream of children and adults being taken in for treatment, while relatives gather outside.

Israel plans to assassinate Hamas leaders worldwide
Israel's intelligence services are already working on a plan to assassinate Hamas leaders around the world when the war in Gaza ends, sources told the Wall Street Journal. According to the informants, the question is not if - but where and how.
The order comes directly from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The plans are described as paving the way for a several-year hunt for the Hamas men responsible for the attack on Israel on October 7.
According to the WSJ, the whole thing can be seen as an extension of the covert operations that Israel has conducted against the terrorist group for decades. Among other things, it means a new chance for Netanyahu, who ordered a high-profile – and unsuccessful – poison assassination of the then Hamas leader Khaled Meshal in Jordan in 1997.
At times, Israel's assassination plans have been put on hold, to avoid diplomatic crises with countries such as Qatar, Lebanon, Iran, Russia and Turkey, all of which have given Palestinian militia groups some protection.
