More children are losing their homes as evictions increase
The number of evictions affecting children is increasing. In the first six months of the year, 345 children lost their homes. This is an increase of 28 percent compared to the same time period last year, the Kronofogden writes in a press release.
- Higher living costs as a result of inflation, higher interest rates and rising food prices can be an explanation. We know that most people try to prioritize the rent as much as possible. But when the economy gets tougher, there are many who can't cope, says Davor Vuleta, personal finance spokesperson at the Kronofogden.
