The minister on site in Sweden: "We are concerned"
Norway's Minister of Justice Emilie Enger Mehl will meet her Swedish counterpart Gunnar Strömmer (M) on Wednesday in a two-hour meeting, due to the Swedish wave of violence. That is reported by VG.
- We are concerned about the development, which Sweden is making strong efforts to crack down on, the minister tells the newspaper.
Several media have previously reported that Norway is seeking international help to prevent Swedish gangs from establishing themselves in the country – a process that has already begun.
- It is important that people are completely clear that it is not the same thing that happens in Norway as in Sweden, says Emilie Enger Mehl to VG.

Norway appeals for help to deal with Swedish gangs
Norway is appealing for international help to deal with Swedish criminals – several gangs are suspected of having established themselves in the country, according to information to Aftonbladet.
"In general, we see that the activity of Swedish gang criminals on Norwegian soil has become more noticeable, and we know that they are involved in violent missions," writes Åste Dahle Sundet, spokesperson for the Norwegian National Criminal Police Kripos, in an email to the newspaper.
During the summer, a large quantity of narcotics suspected of being linked to Rawa Majid's Foxtrot network is said to have been seized in Norway.
Norway's Minister of Justice Emilie Eger Mehl is expected to visit Sweden on Wednesday for a meeting with Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer (M). On the agenda are, among other things, talks about how the two countries' police should cooperate in the fight against the gangs.
