Political situation in Burkina Faso
The military junta states that they foiled a new coup d'état
Four soldiers have been arrested on suspicion of having tried to carry out a coup d'état in Burkina Faso, according to AFP.
According to the military regime, the attempt was stopped on Tuesday, a year after it itself came to power in the same way.
On Tuesday, rumors spread in Burkina Faso that a coup d'état was imminent and the country's military leader Ibrahim Traore called on people to take to the streets in support of the regime.
According to AFP, the arrested rebels also have a military background.

The flight to Europe
Disputed migration agreement within the EU may be finalized today
The EU is approaching a decision on the migration issue, AFP reports. On Thursday, two commissioners, including Ylva Johansson (S), spoke about the progress in the talks.
- Hopefully we can agree on the last parts today, says Ylva Johansson to the news agency.
The question has been raised when different countries in the Union have been forced to take on different responsibilities in the migration issue. The ambition has been that EU member states must either share the responsibility of receiving migrants, or contribute money for the cost.
As recently as July, a previous proposal was voted on, something Hungary, Poland, Austria and the Czech Republic turned against.
The EU's ambition is to have a settlement in place by this summer's EU elections.

Fishing in the Baltic Sea
Streaming seriously threatened - "opt it out"
The World Wide Fund for Nature warns that several of the Baltic Sea's sturgeon populations are seriously threatened. This is evident from the organisation's latest fishing guide, TT reports.
Continued overfishing and slower growth mean that the stream is graded with a red light in the compilation. Food chains, consumers and restaurants are thus asked to opt out of the fish.
- The flow is smaller and leaner than before. The large-scale trawling depletes the stocks, says Inger Melander, expert on fisheries and markets at WWF.
Bottom trawled cod from the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea also end up in the red.
