Britain: Hundreds of Wagner soldiers back
In recent weeks, as many as several hundred former Wagner soldiers have returned to Ukraine, both on their own initiative and as parts of smaller private units, the UK Ministry of Defense writes in a situation update.
The soldiers appear to be particularly concentrated around Bachmut, where their combat experience is likely to be particularly sought after, according to the British.
"Many of them are familiar with the front line and the local tactics of Ukraine, having fought on the same terrain last winter."
The Wagner group pulled out of Ukraine in June 2023, shortly before the uprising when they marched on Moscow. On August 23, leader Yevgeny Prigozhin and other high-ranking officials died in a plane crash.

Russian military bloggers: We censor ourselves
Several Russian military bloggers state that they censor their descriptions of the situation at the front - self-censorship regarding the realities of war seems to be increasingly widespread in Russia, writes the ISW think tank in a situation report.
"Some particularly critical military bloggers state that they only publish five to 15 percent of the information they receive," ISW writes.
One of the blogs states that the soldiers have problems with, among other things, communication, drones, tires, electronic warfare and salaries, but that the commanders often silence or ignore the complaints.
Kremlin-loyal Russian military bloggers, including those active on the Telegram platform, are popular sources of information about the war in Russia.
