Russia: No reason to review the targets in Ukraine
Russia has no reason to revise its military objectives in Ukraine. This is what Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says in a statement addressed to the leaders of the Western world during the OSCE meeting in North Macedonia, according to AP.
- We see no signs that Kyiv or their leaders are ready for a political solution and we see no reason to revise our goals, he says.
Russia has long said it is ready to make peace with Ukraine at the negotiating table. However, the Russian peace proposal means that Ukraine would have to recognize large parts of the country as Russian, something Kyiv refuses to agree to.
The fact that Lavrov is even allowed to participate in the OSCE meeting is very controversial. Ukraine and the Baltic countries are boycotting the meeting, and several participants believe that Russia is undermining the work of the security pact.

Ukraine has blown up a tunnel 600 miles into Russia
The Ukrainian intelligence service SBU has blown up a rail link in eastern Russia, deep into enemy territory. This is what a Ukrainian source told Reuters.
The SBU triggered several detonations inside the Severomujsk tunnel, which is just over 15 kilometers long and Russia's longest train tunnel, a senior Ukrainian intelligence source told Politico.
- This is the only real railway connection between Russia and China. And at the moment this route, which Russia uses, among other things, for military transport, is frozen, says the source.
The tunnel is located in the sub-republic of Buryatia, 600 miles east of Ukraine and close to the border with Mongolia.
It has not been possible to independently confirm whether the route is used for military transport, writes Reuters. The SBU has not officially confirmed the sabotage and Russia has not commented.
