Norska Se og Hør reveals reveals that Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett still haven't paid all the invoices for the wedding.
According to the newspaper, at least one million kroner is needed.
- It simply feels as if the princess has run away from the payment, says a spokesperson for one of the companies affected.
The four-day wedding celebration in Ålesund and Geiranger at the end of August attracted 300 guests from all over the world. Princess Märtha Louise and the shaman Durek Verrett invited to a pre-party, boat trip, salsa dancing and wedding with a wonderful view of the Geirangerfjord.
A wide range of companies participated in the preparation and execution of the wedding. But far from everyone has had their invoices paid three months after the wedding.
Se og Hør has surveyed the companies and states that the estimated sum is one million kroner.
The companies have sent their invoices to debt collection or have sent reminders to the bride and groom.
According to the newspaper, it is primarily the princess's individual company, Prinsesse Märtha Louise Kulturformidling, that is liable for payment.
"It is indecent not to pay"
According to Se og Hør, several of the central actors have waited for money for so long that it in turn created financial problems for their own operations. It is about goods and services that the bride and groom ordered for the festivities.- I just have to admit that we were looking forward to being part of the celebration, and we prepared well. Then it is not funny that the time afterwards has become less pleasant. It is indecent not to pay one's debts, says one of the actors in question to Se og Hør.
Some companies have finally had their invoices paid after tough discussions with Princess Märtha Louise's manager, Carina Scheele Carlsen.
One of the affected companies is Lyd AS, which helped the bride and groom with sound, lighting and technical equipment during the party weekend. They allegedly have a claim of around SEK 800,000. Another business mentioned is the Hotel Union where the bride and groom and their guests stayed over the weekend.
Sold the wedding to Netflix
Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett sold the image rights for the wedding to the streaming giant Netflix and the British weekly magazine Hello. Experts have estimated the price at a couple of million kroner.Carina Scheele Carlsen says in a comment to the newspaper that she does not comment on the couple's private finances, but that she makes an exception in this case.
- As a responsible actor at such a large event, it is our duty, in cooperation with our advisors, to go through all invoices and ensure that they correspond to the agreements entered into. In a few cases it may take some time, but there is no drama in it.
