Israelis demand an end to the war: "Don't bomb"

Hundreds of Israelis demonstrated on Saturday in Tel Aviv against Israel’s war and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Don’t bomb – talk! End the endless wars!” read placards in the crowd.

The demonstration took place despite tighter restrictions on public gatherings due to the Iran war.

– We are here to demand an end to the war in Iran, the war in Lebanon and the war in Gaza that is still ongoing, as well as an end to the pogroms in the West Bank, said Alon-Lee Green from the Israeli-Palestinian grassroots movement Standing Together.

– In Israel, there is always war. If we are not allowed to demonstrate, we will never be allowed to speak, he added.

Green and several other protesters were later arrested during the demonstration by police, according to AFP's correspondent.
