Companies Stop Publishing Satellite Images from Iran
Satellite company Planet Labs will temporarily stop publishing images from several locations in the Middle East, or do so with a certain delay. This is at the request of the Pentagon, reports Bloomberg.
In a statement, the company states that this will apply as long as the Iran war continues.
“These are extraordinary circumstances.”
The news agency writes that historically it has been state actors themselves who have provided such services, but that commercial companies have gained an increasingly important role in wars. Planet Labs has contracts with both the United States and NATO.
New figures: 365 Americans wounded in the war
365 American soldiers have been wounded during the war in Iran and 13 have been killed. This is reported by the magazine Military, which has received new public data from the Pentagon.
Earlier, military sources had put the number of casualties at around 300.
“Our generation knows what it’s like to see Americans come home in coffins. But that doesn’t weaken us in the slightest. It strengthens our backbone and our resolve when we say this is a battle we will finish,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said of the American losses in March.
