A third drone and another quantity of explosives have been found after a suspected attack attempt at Leipzig Airport in Germany in early August.
An armed drone was discovered at the airport in early August, which immediately raised suspicions of an attempt at hybrid warfare. Another drone is believed to have collided with a cargo plane shortly afterwards, but without causing major damage.
Investigators suspect that the attack plan was more extensive than that, according to information provided to German public service radio and Süddeutsche Zeitung. A third drone and high-explosive explosives were reportedly found in a field near the airport on August 14.
A Ukrainian transport plane with military equipment is suspected of having been targeted. According to media reports, German authorities believe that Russia is behind it.
