Trump advisor likened the president to God and claimed the election was stolen

Donald Trump's advisor Natalie Harp expressed strong support for the president during the storming of the Capitol, a CNN review shows.

Harp is described as perhaps Trump's closest aide and follows the president everywhere. Her role in the White House has been the subject of discussion and harsh criticism from Democrats in recent weeks.

On January 6, 2021, Harp, who did not work for Trump at the time, wrote over 150 posts on Twitter at the time. Among other things, she likens Trump to God and claims, contrary to reality, that the election was stolen by Joe Biden. She also encourages Trump's supporters to "fight" and promises that the movement "will never admit defeat".

When the outgoing president later urged the supporters who stormed the Capitol to "go home", she also shared that message.

According to CNN, Harp's strong support for Trump dates back to 2016. The posts were later removed from the platform, and the account is now suspended. It is unclear whether Harp himself did it.

Iran: Anyone who joins US sanctions is an enemy

Any neighboring country that joins the upcoming US sanctions or otherwise participates in the US "economic war" against Iran will be considered an enemy. This was stated by Mohsen Rezai, chairman of Iran's National Security Council, according to AFP.

Donald Trump has previously threatened economic consequences for any country that gives Iran "any kind of lifeline", writes Reuters.

Iran has condemned the US plan as "economic terrorism" after Trump and his Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent threatened Iran with "the toughest sanctions in history".

Whales move off Greenland coast as ice melts

As the sea ice melts, the number of giant whales has increased on the eastern coast of Greenland, writes the BBC.

In recent decades, humpback whales, minke whales and fin whales have been seen in the area. In 2006, the first and only humpback whale was observed. By 2024, that number had risen to 150 observations.

But for the narwhal and beluga whales, this is bad news. In the worst case, they could be driven from their natural environment.

– For some species, climate change is not necessarily a problem – it opens up new opportunities. But other species are losing their habitat, says Mads Peter Heide-Jørgensen, a researcher at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources.

– We are talking about hundreds of people who have simply become accustomed to earning money directly from the state treasury.
