Israel carries out massive detonations in Lebanon

The Israeli military stated that it had conducted an operation in the village of Mansouri targeting "more than 600 sites" and "eight underground routes" belonging to "terrorist infrastructure."

These reports emerged on Monday after Lebanon’s state news agency, NNA, reported that Israel had carried out extensive detonations in the southern part of the country.

"A massive explosion was heard in Mansouri in the Tyre region," followed by several explosions in nearby villages, NNA reported. These accounts were confirmed by AFP reporters on the scene, who described smoke rising after the blast and reported that large parts of Mansouri had been destroyed.

Lebanese authorities frequently accuse Israel of systematically destroying parts of small towns and villages in southern Lebanon, including schools, religious sites, and water and electricity infrastructure.

A ceasefire has technically been in effect between Israel and Lebanon since April 16.
