Police: No explosives found in vans near the base

No explosives have been found in the vans examined in connection with the suspected terror plot against the British airbase RAF Fairford. This was reported by British counter-terrorism police, according to Reuters.

On Sunday, five British men were arrested near the airbase on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act. The men abandoned three vans by the roadside, prompting passersby to alert the police.

The men were released on bail on Monday.

Although the base is located in the UK, it is used by the US military. Among other things, attacks against Iran have been launched from there during the ongoing war in the Middle East.
