Around ten political prisoners released in Venezuela

According to human rights organizations, at least ten political prisoners in Venezuela have been released.

The total number of people released has not been confirmed, but two different human rights organizations in the country are reporting releases.

The reports follow a meeting on Tuesday between Venezuelan Interim President Delcy Rodríguez and US President Donald Trump during the UN summit in New York. In her speech at the UN, Rodríguez also stated that Venezuela has initiated a democratic transition.

The country's government has not commented on the releases.
