Jaguar returns with new EV – priced at 1.3 million

British luxury automaker Jaguar is re-entering the electric vehicle market with the Jaguar "Type 01," two years after a rebranding effort sparked a storm of criticism on social media. At that time—two years ago—the classic car manufacturer announced it was transforming its identity and stepping into an electric future.

The new car boasts a range of just over 700 kilometers and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The price tag is equivalent to 1.3 million kronor, CNBC reports.

Both Ferrari and Bentley have launched their first electric vehicles this year.
