Moldova is naming a new power line after US President Donald Trump—following a proposal from the US.

The power line, which connects Moldova and Romania, has been partially funded by the United States. The government in Chisinau has now accepted an American proposal to name it the "Trump Liberty Line."

"It was a proposal from the US embassy, ​​​​and the government has no objection to it," spokesperson Dumitru Ciorici told AFP.

During his second term, Trump has put his name and face on everything from passports and currency to Bibles and buildings.

In addition to the power line in Moldova—expected to be completed in 2032—a park in Bucharest, the capital of neighboring Romania, is also set to be renamed after Trump following an online vote. However, some claim the vote was rigged, AFP reports.
