The Russian invasion. The outside world's response
Sources: The US blacklists more companies for Russian business
On Thursday, the United States introduced sanctions against more than 150 foreign companies, individuals and institutions accused of supplying American or Western technology to Russia, several media outlets write.
Western sanctions have so far largely focused on Russian companies. But after Russia circumvented the sanctions with the help of other actors, the White House is now stepping up the fight against them, writes the Wall Street Journal.
It will be about companies that sold goods to Russia via countries such as China, Turkey, Hungary and the United Arab Emirates. For example, two Finnish companies are said to be on the list for having supplied military equipment such as drone cameras and lithium batteries.
AFP reports that five of the companies on the list are Turkish.

Leader: The Swedes are betraying Ukraine, which is fighting for us
Some of the biggest news events take place in today's leaderboard: the war in Ukraine, the violence in Sweden and the swine fever outbreak in Fagersta.
Expressen's editorial page writes that the Swedes have begun to let Ukraine down, even though the war is shaping the future of all of Europe. How else is one to interpret that so few donate money these days?
"It is now, a year and a half into the war, we should provide our profile pictures in social media with the blue and yellow flag. It is now that we should become monthly donors", writes the newspaper.
GP's Håkan Boström focuses on crime in Sweden under the heading "Last night in Sweden has become a brutal reality". He thinks that public Sweden has long denied the development - and notes that more and more civilians are now affected.
"There are no 'safe zones' in today's big Swedish cities where you can be completely sure of escaping the violence.
"
Money is needed to deal with the swine fever outbreak, says Aftonbladet's lead writer Ingvar Persson. So far, voluntary private individuals have been looking for wild boar bodies, but when the fall of work now begins, it is not possible to "lean towards the pensioners", he writes.
