Middle East Crisis Situation in Iran

After the call – people gather at bridges and power plants

Iranian state media has begun publishing images of Iranians forming human chains across bridges and people gathered outside power plants in the country, several media outlets report.

In a video published by Fars, people are seen holding a large Iranian flag stretching across a bridge in Ahvaz in southwestern Iran, writes Sky News.

In images published by Mehr News Agency in Kermanshah, a crowd is seen outside a power plant with a banner that says “attacks on energy infrastructure are considered a war crime,” according to the New York Times.

Earlier in the day, Iranians were urged by government officials to form “human chains” outside power plants and on bridges in the country, writes Sky News.

The Iranian regime has organized several public demonstrations for propaganda purposes during the war.

Concern in Iran: “The US is not destroying the Islamic Republic – just us”

People in Iran are stockpiling water and charging their phones ahead of the expected US attacks. This is reported by the AP.

– By bombing the infrastructure, the US is not destroying the Islamic Republic. They are only destroying us, a young teacher tells the news agency.

She says she believed Trump’s promise to “kill some leaders” and end the regime.

35-year-old Mahmoud Azimi is also disappointed with US President Donald Trump.

– We are going from one hell to another. I had hoped that Trump had something better to offer us, he tells the AP.
