One dead and at least 27 injured in train accident in France

A truck and a train have collided at a railway crossing in France on Tuesday.

The train driver has died and at least 27 people have been injured in the accident.

An accident has occurred on Tuesday morning at a railway crossing in Noeux-les-Mines in northern France, reports French TF1 Info.

A military truck trailer is said to have collided with the high-speed train at the railway crossing.

The train, with around 250 passengers on board, derailed in connection with the collision. The train driver died and 27 other people were injured. Among the injured is the truck driver, whose condition is described as serious.

The train was travelling from Dunkirk to Paris when the accident occurred.
