Russia is rearming up along the border with northern Europe

The Russian military is rearming up along the border with the Nordic and Baltic countries for a possible war with the NATO countries around the Baltic Sea. This is shown by a review conducted by the Danish DR together with SVT, the Norwegian NRK and the Estonian Delfi.

Finnish Army Chief Pasi Välimäki tells SVT that the rearmament could lead to the number of Russian forces near the Nordic and Baltic regions increasing from just over 20,000 to around 80,000.

- It is a threat that we should take seriously, Must chief Thomas Nilsson tells the channel.
