Middle East Crisis Iran War

Admiral: “We hear your complaints loud and clear”

Information to a wide range of media outlets alleges that the psychological pressure on the crew aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln is very severe.

Vice Admiral Joseph Cahill tells MS Now that they have heard warnings and complaints from relatives and that they “hear them loud and clear.”

The crew has been at sea for around 200 days, almost without interruption. According to sources, several crew members have tried to jump overboard because of the pressure.

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has previously denied reports that there is a lack of food on board.

“Our crew members deserve – and are getting – the very best,” he wrote on X in April.

Reports: Mental stress – then US sailors try to jump overboard

A record-long tour of duty at sea has caused sailors on the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, which is in the Arabian Sea, to try to jump overboard. This is reported by several media outlets.

According to the Navy Times, this is due to mental stress, which was caused, among other things, by the crew members initially being told that their tour of duty would end in May. It has since been extended indefinitely.

Over a period of more than 200 days, the 5,000-strong crew has only been ashore once, during a visit to Oman in July. According to MS Now, this is a record for a US aircraft carrier.

Iran threatens to prolong the war until Trump steps down

The Revolutionary Guard in Iran is threatening to try to drag out the war for the rest of Donald Trump's term. In a statement, an adviser to the Revolutionary Guard says the US is weaker than expected, and that Iran has learned important lessons.

“The longer this war continues, the more experience we gain,” the adviser tells PBS.

He further claims that the White House lacks a strategy and that it is currently to Iran’s advantage. He also suggests that Iran has a plan for what will happen if the missile stockpile runs out, and that the US has economic interests around the world that can easily be “destroyed.”
