Benjamin Netanyahu’s party, Likud, appears set to become the largest in the Knesset.

But at the election night event, the chairs are mostly empty.

Hardly anyone is there.

Netanyahu’s right-wing party, Likud, looks set to emerge as the largest in Israel’s parliament, the Knesset.

Yet, there are few people cheering at the party’s election night gathering in Jerusalem.

In fact, hardly anyone is there at all.

According to the Norwegian newspaper *Dagbladet*, which is on the ground in Jerusalem, only about four or five Likud representatives are present.

“Never experienced a stranger election night”

A large screen displays clips of Netanyahu alongside world leaders, such as U.S. President Donald Trump and Argentine President Javier Milei.

“I have never experienced a stranger election night. It’s just media personnel and police here,” says a British journalist.

Exit polls indicate that the opposition bloc will be larger than Netanyahu’s. Likud also appears on track to lose just over five seats compared to the previous election in 2022.

However, the margins are slim, and neither bloc appears likely to secure an outright majority.

There is no major celebratory atmosphere on the streets of Tel Aviv, either.

A few dozen opponents of Netanyahu have gathered at Habima Square, *Haaretz* reports.

Some have jumped into a fountain.
