Iran: Received a letter from Vance – but has not responded
Tehran has received a letter from U.S. Vice President JD Vance but has not yet responded, according to Iranian state media. The letter reportedly concerns the possibility of resuming negotiations.
According to the Tasnim news agency, the regime has not yet replied to the letter. The state-run news agency IRNA states that Iran “emphasizes the necessity” for the U.S. to fulfill the conditions Iran has set for entering into any potential talks.
The American outlet Axios, citing sources, reports that the letter was sent to Iran’s security chief, Mohsen Rezaee, and indicated that Tehran must be prepared to discuss its nuclear program if it wishes to avoid further attacks.
Recently, there has been speculation that Washington might launch new attacks against Iran.
The last time the U.S. carried out attacks against the country was in early September.
