Sources: US warns of new attacks against Iran
The US has urged several countries in the Middle East to prepare for potential renewed attacks against Iran, two diplomatic sources told the news agency AP.
According to the reports, the countries—which were not specified—have been informed that a new wave of attacks could take place following the US midterm elections; a possibility that US President Donald Trump has hinted at on several occasions.
Among other things, the countries have been advised to prepare for Iranian counterattacks in the region. However, the diplomats emphasize that President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision to carry out new strikes against Iran.
The last time the US conducted attacks against the country was in early September, according to the AP.
