At least two dead following Hurricane Isaias's path through the US
At least two people have died after trees fell on their homes due to Hurricane Isaias, which has swept across the US states of Florida and Alabama. The New York Times reports the news. Several roads and bridges had to be closed overnight (local time) due to hazardous conditions, but many have since reopened this morning.
The center of Storm Isaias has now moved away from Florida, yet authorities continue to warn of a risk of flooding. Up to 200 millimeters of rain is expected to fall in parts of the state over the weekend.
