Trump: Energy truce between Russia and Ukraine

US President Donald Trump states that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to an energy truce.

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacts with surprise to the announcement but says he accepts it, provided Russia does so as well.

"Effective immediately, there is an energy truce in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Both sides have agreed to this. Do not break it," the president writes on Truth Social.

In an interview with Axios, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy comments on the truce by saying, "That is news to me."

"But if the Russians agree to an energy truce, Ukraine will do the same," he continues.

Russia has not yet confirmed the agreement.
