Russia and Ukraine have agreed not to attack each other's energy facilities, Donald Trump claims on Truth Social.

The agreement takes effect immediately, according to Trump.

"Both sides have agreed to it. Don't break it!" he writes.

The statement comes after Trump wrote on social media that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to an energy ceasefire that takes effect "immediately".

It is unclear whether Russia has agreed to any ceasefire.

Sources: US threatens to cut off arms sales to Ukraine

The US is threatening to cut off the procurement system that supplies Ukraine with weapons in an attempt to get the country to stop attacking Russian energy infrastructure, European sources told the Financial Times.

According to the sources, US officials have been calling various European countries to pressure Ukraine to stop the attacks.

“They are calling Kyiv, they are calling everyone in Europe,” said a source who received a call from the US.

The calls allegedly included threats to cut off intelligence sharing and the PURL (Prioritised Ukraine Requirements Li) procurement process.
