Navanethem Pillay: "The greatest honor"
"This is the greatest honor bestowed upon me," says Navanethem Pillay at a press conference after being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Pillay dedicates the prize to all those who have survived international crimes, and to all those who continue to defend international justice.
"Their courage continues to ensure that impunity is not allowed to prevail," she says, after entering the hall to a standing ovation.
She calls the prize "a complete surprise."
