Israel bombs dangerously close to Lebanese hospitals
Israel has dropped bombs "within lethal range" of at least 19 Lebanese hospitals, which are protected under international law, a CNN analysis shows.
- I was treating a patient when the bomb exploded. I fell over him from the pressure wave, says emergency nurse Mohammad Fouani at the Rafik Hariri hospital, the largest in the country.
According to Lebanese authorities, 34 hospitals have been damaged in Israeli attacks, 111 health workers have been killed and 107 ambulances have been hit.
The IDF claims that Hezbollah is placing military equipment near medical facilities as part of a "human shield" strategy.
