Iranian news agency spreads video calling for assassination attempts on Trump
The state-run Iranian news agency Fars posted a video on Telegram on Thursday evening titled “Where should Trump be killed?”, as reported by the German news agency DPA.
The video – which is subtitled in English – is about three minutes long and is said to show Donald Trump’s “routine routes” in the US, which are said to have been mapped out through intelligence information.
Among other things, Trump’s alleged travel route in Florida is shown, when he is driven from the airport to his Mar-a-lago residence. The video suggests that certain places would be suitable for carrying out an assassination attempt on the president.
According to DPA, Fars has close ties to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. In connection with the NATO summit in Ankara in early July, the Wall Street Journal reported that Israel had recently uncovered Iranian assassination plots against Trump.
