Deaths in separate attacks in the West Bank
Settlers in the West Bank shot and killed a 17-year-old Palestinian on Friday, according to the Palestinian Health Authority.
In a separate incident, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian man in Jenin after the man tried to stab a soldier, according to the Israeli military.
Settlers in the Israeli-occupied West Bank opened fire on a 17-year-old in an attack in Sair, near the city of Hebron. A 70-year-old man was wounded in the attack. The death was confirmed by Al-Mezan Hospital in Hebron.
According to the Israeli military, Palestinians had thrown stones at “Israeli civilians” and “security personnel” from settler groups had fired at the group.
In the Jenin clash, the Israeli military said a 58-year-old Palestinian was killed after he tried to attack soldiers with a knife. One of the sons of the man shot carried out an attack in 2022 that killed three Israelis.
