Turkey: Airstrikes against 20 PKK targets in northern Iraq
Turkey has carried out airstrikes in northern Iraq and destroyed 20 suspected PKK targets, the Ministry of Defense says according to AP.
According to the military, the attacks were aimed at, among other things, caves and weapons depots.
It comes after the PKK claimed responsibility for the bombing in Ankara earlier on Sunday, when two police officers were injured.
Hours before the Turkish parliament opened after the summer break, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at the interior ministry, and a second attacker was shot dead by police.
The terrorist-labeled Kurdish organization called it an "act of sacrifice" carried out by the group's "immortal brigade".

The terrorist-labeled Kurdish organization PKK claims responsibility for the bombing in the Turkish capital, Ankara, reports AFP.
"A sacrificial act was carried out against the Turkish Ministry of the Interior by a group from our Immortal Brigade," said a statement to the PKK-affiliated ANF news agency.
Sunday's attack happened hours before the Turkish parliament was due to open after the summer recess. A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device, and another attacker was killed in a shootout with police.
Two police officers were slightly injured in the attack, which was carried out at the Ministry of the Interior. Turkish authorities call it a terrorist attack.

Erdogan: "The villains will never achieve their goals"
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is now commenting on the bombing outside the country's Ministry of the Interior in Ankara. This is reported by AFP.
