Orbán: The EU has failed with the strategy for Ukraine
The EU's Ukraine strategy has failed, according to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who wants to see a "plan b".
- Everyone knows it but they don't dare to say it out loud [...] Ukraine will not win on the front line, Orbán says in an interview with Hungarian state radio.
In connection with the summit in Brussels, Orbán also says that he sees no reason to let the Hungarian taxpayers stand for Ukraine support.Seen as Putin's chosen - now the politician has been shot
Ukrainian pro-Russian politician Oleg Tsaryov has been shot and is receiving intensive care in hospital, according to Russian reports. It is not clear where the incident should have occurred.
Tsaryov previously sat in Ukraine's parliament and after 2014 held a top post in the separatist government in eastern Ukraine. Last year, the Financial Times singled out Tsarjov as Vladimir Putin's intended leader of a planned puppet government in Kyiv after the full-scale invasion.
Tsaryov himself dismissed the information as "quite funny" considering that at the time he was working in the "health industry" in occupied Crimea and was not "important enough".
