During the night, Israel intensified its airstrikes against Gaza.
The strip is now completely sealed off from the outside world as the internet and telecommunications network have been switched off.
"The bombing of northern Gaza is on a scale we have never seen before," writes BBC reporter Rushdi Abualouf, who is in Gaza.
Since October 7, at least 7,326 Palestinians have been killed, including 3,038 children, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
On Friday, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution calling for a "humanitarian ceasefire" in Gaza, which was rejected by Israel.
Later on Friday evening, Israel intensified its attacks on the strip.
After midnight, the connection collapsed in Gaza.
"The intense bombardment of the past hour has resulted in the total destruction of all contact with international connectivity outside Gaza," a Palestinian telecom company said in a statement.
On Saturday morning, people gathered at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital to mourn their relatives who had been killed during the night, reports CNN. The hospital is said to have received 22 bodies and hundreds of injured.

"It's complete chaos"
BBC reporter Rushdi Abualouf is in southern Gaza. He describes the situation as "total chaos" after Israel's massive attacks.
"The bombing of northern Gaza is of a scale we have never seen before," he writes.
According to him, the ambulance drivers have no way to receive emergency calls or communicate with anyone and only drive in the direction of the sound of explosions.
Israel has repeatedly called on civilians to leave northern Gaza and move south. However, Israel has carried out attacks in southern Gaza as well.
Safwat Kahlout, who reports for Al Jazeera from northern Gaza, tells the television channel that the digital blackout and massive bombing have created panic among the population.
- People are very scared and in a panic. They have no way of getting hold of those who are on the run, he says.
- You usually call each other after every Israeli air attack. They are very worried about their loved ones. He also says he has seen pictures of civilians carrying the injured to hospital because it is not possible to communicate with the emergency services.
Lost contact with his employees
The Red Cross alerts that they have lost contact with the operating rooms and all their teams in Gaza.
"We are deeply concerned about the teams' ability to provide emergency care, especially as the disruption affects the emergency number 101 and prevents ambulances from reaching the injured," the organization writes on X.
Even WHO and Unicef have lost contact with their employees.
"I am concerned for their safety," the World Health Organization chief wrote on X.
"We have lost contact with our colleagues in Gaza. I am extremely worried for their safety and another night of terror for a million children in Gaza," writes Unicef director Catherine Russell on X.
