Ukraine's drone offensive has run into a problem: China
New export rules in China pose problems for Ukrainian army drone strikes, New York Times reports. China, which is one of the world's largest manufacturers of drones, has introduced new rules to limit exports.
The rules took effect on September 1 and have made it more difficult for Ukraine to obtain drones. The army, in addition to buying military drones from Turkey, has also relied on cheaper Chinese drones that it has equipped with weapons.
According to estimates from a British think tank, Ukraine is losing roughly 10,000 drones a month in the war.
- We are exploring every possible way to buy drones from China, says an officer in the Ukrainian military.

ISW: Prigozhin's 25-year-old son may take over the Wagner group
Yevgeny Prigozhin's son Pavel Prigozhin may be about to take control of the paramilitary Wagner group, ISW writes. The American think tank refers to information on Telegram where a channel with connections to Wagner announces that 25-year-old Pavel Prigozhin has now taken "command" of the group.
According to the information, he is in negotiations with the Russian National Guard to allow the Wagner soldiers to fight in Ukraine again.
A Russian source claims that Pavel Prigozhin is not acting independently. He is said to be under the influence of the head of the Wagner group's security service.
According to the think tank, this may indicate that there are people within the Wagner group who would like to see a new leader with connections to the founder Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Yevgeny Prigozhin died when his plane crashed shortly after takeoff on August 23.
