Houthi movement: Attacks Saudi facilities
The Houthi movement in Yemen says it has attacked oil facilities in Saudi Arabia. At the same time, the Saudis say it has shot down drones from an Iran-backed group in Iraq.
Saudi forces on Monday destroyed drones heading towards oil facilities in the eastern parts of the country, the defense ministry said, saying the drones were sent by an Iran-backed group in Iraq.
No injuries have been reported, either from that attack or the drone strike that the Iran-backed Houthi movement claims to have carried out just days after a similar attack on oil facilities on the Red Sea.
According to Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree, the attack was a response to “Saudi drone intrusions” into Yemeni airspace.
