Iran: Tanker hits mine in Strait of Hormuz
A tanker has hit a mine in the Strait of Hormuz, Al Jazeera reports, citing Iranian authorities.
An explosion reportedly occurred when the ship tried to take a route through the strait that was not approved by Iran and hit a deployed naval mine, the Qatar-based channel writes.
Iranian authorities have warned against trying to pass the Strait of Hormuz without coordinating with the country.
Attacks between Iran and the United States have been paused over the weekend. President Donald Trump is said to have ordered a reduction in attacks on Iran to open up for new talks. On Sunday evening, Iran's military stated that the country had stopped what it calls retaliatory attacks on Washington's allies in the Middle East.

Iran warns of consequences after Ukrainian attack
Iran's Foreign Ministry is warning of "unforeseen" consequences after what it said was a Ukrainian attack on an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea over the weekend.
"This action by Ukraine was a completely illegal and unjustified act, in violation of the UN Charter, and a dangerous and adventurous act that will certainly not go unanswered by us," ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei told a news conference.
He added that the consequences of Ukraine's action "will certainly be unforeseen."
