The ongoing fire in Ávila, Spain, is now the largest fire ever in the country. 50,000 hectares have burned in the province.

On Sunday, the winds that have made extinguishing work difficult subsided, but the fires raging in Ávila and Madrid "cannot be considered completely under control," reports El País.

Around 350,000 people have been evacuated in Spain and neighboring France due to the large fires.
