Emirates: Iran fired missiles

Residents of the United Arab Emirates were warned on Tuesday of a “possible missile threat” after Iran fired two ballistic missiles.

“Stay in safe places and follow the warnings,” the air defense announced via telephone message to the emirate’s population.

After less than 15 minutes, the alarm was sounded. Later, the emirate accused Iran of having fired two ballistic missiles at the country. Both missiles are said to have landed in the Persian Gulf.

The warning was the first since a false alarm in June. The last serious warning came in May.

Tuesday's alarm came just hours after US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that "no talks or conversations (with Iran) are taking place or are planned."
