North Korea has fired about ten ballistic missiles, according to defense sources in South Korea.

The launch took place from North Korea’s east coast on Thursday, writes the South Korean news agency Yonhap.

The missiles are about ten short-range missiles, an official at South Korea’s defense staff told AFP.

The news comes at a time when international discussions about the dictatorship’s nuclear weapons are underway. Earlier on Thursday, South Korean Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-Back said that the neighboring country has an estimated 80-120 nuclear weapons.

The day before, US President Donald Trump claimed that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un has “57 very powerful nuclear weapons.” Trump has also said he plans to meet with Kim later this year.
