Denmark to purchase missiles from the US and Norway
Denmark is set to purchase missiles from American and Norwegian companies, Minister of Defence Jeppe Bruus (Social Democrats) announced at a press briefing.
The acquisitions include missiles from the Norwegian manufacturer Kongsberg—capable of being launched from combat aircraft—as well as "Anthem" type cruise missiles, which are being purchased from the American company Covenant.
"These acquisitions represent a significant step toward improving Denmark’s defensive capabilities," says Bruus.
The Minister of Defence declined to specify the number of missiles involved, the expected delivery timeline, or the value of the deals.
