Danish minister: "Strengthening our ability to strike back"

The Danish government has confirmed the acquisition of two types of cruise missiles capable of reaching targets inside Russia, according to Danish and Norwegian media. Spying alert: Trawlers spotted near critical British cables

Russia appears to be using fishing trawlers to spy on vital British undersea cables, according to *The Telegraph*. The newspaper has identified over 500 instances where fishing vessels either stopped directly above these cables or traveled along their paths for several kilometers.

The cables in question include those connecting the United Kingdom to both Europe and the United States. According to *The Telegraph*, an attack or act of sabotage against such infrastructure would cause catastrophic disruption to banks, hospitals, and mobile telecommunications.

This Russian espionage activity is well-known to both the United Kingdom and NATO.

"Some of these vessels have never had a single fish on their decks," says a source working for the alliance.
