Ukraine: Continued problems with Starshield
Ukraine reports ongoing issues with the military version of Starlink—Starshield—even though U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that access has been restored by tech billionaire Elon Musk, whose company owns the system.
On Friday, Ukraine indicated that it was still experiencing limitations with the military communication service.
“This morning, there were still signal interruptions,” a source within the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense told reporters.
“There is currently no confirmation that the restrictions have been lifted.”
Earlier this week, reports emerged suggesting that Elon Musk had decided to restrict Starshield, which hindered Ukraine’s defensive capabilities. Musk claimed at the time that any restrictions were the result of decisions made by the U.S. military and President Trump.
