Protests in Albania continue at full strength
Protesters are throwing stones, while police are responding with water cannons and tear gas.
The protests in Albania have now continued with undiminished intensity for eight days.
In the capital, Tirana, police once again attempted to push back protesters on Tuesday evening by deploying tear gas and water cannons.
High school and university students are demanding lower tuition fees and increased state investment in education. Furthermore, they are protesting against corruption within the education system and calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
On Tuesday, Rama claimed that "hybrid warfare" lies behind the unrest, and reiterated his allegations that "foreign actors" are involved.
