The Saudi-led coalition has attacked an oil facility near Yemen's capital, Sanaa, according to Houthi-controlled media.

Meanwhile, Qatar-based Al Jazeera reports that its journalists on the ground heard explosions in the area.

Reports of the attack follow stern warnings exchanged between the Houthi movement and the Saudi-led coalition regarding imminent attacks.

On Monday, the coalition ordered the evacuation of an oil facility in Sanaa, the Houthi-controlled capital of Yemen.

The Houthi movement had already warned that an attack on Sanaa would be met with a forceful response.

The Iran-backed movement has also issued warnings to civilians and employees at all facilities belonging to the Saudi oil producer Saudi Aramco within Saudi Arabia, as well as to employees of Saudi airlines. This warning is similar to one issued on Monday, which was followed by reported attacks on a military base in southern Saudi Arabia and King Khalid Airport outside Riyadh.
