Iran warned following incident at military airbase
The US, the UK, and 28 other countries are warning Iran following events at the British military airbase RAF Fairford.
"Any attempt by Iran to threaten, silence, intimidate, harass, harm, or coerce people on our territories—whether by proxy or otherwise—is unacceptable," reads a joint statement also backed by France, Germany, Canada, and Sweden, among others.
The statement follows the incident at RAF Fairford in late September, in which several individuals were arrested on suspicion of plotting terrorist acts.
On Monday, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham reiterated to the British Parliament that there are "strong indications" of Tehran's involvement in the incident.
"I can confirm that, in our assessment, it was highly likely coordinated in Iran and almost certainly carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard," Burnham said, according to Sky News.
